Dutch Tjalk, built in 1905. First converted in the 1960’s and greatly improved during the 1980’s as a comfortable cruising home. Latest improvements 2004 to 2007. This boat is very well maintained and ready to live aboard and cruise all year round.

Ballast:

1 ton of railway lines at the bow.

Engine:

PERKINS type P6 diesel, 80 hp

Gearbox:

PARAGON oil operated.

By gears and cables, very positive and light.

Generator:

5.4kva, with LEYLAND diesel engine

Alternators:

24 volts alternators on the engine and the generator.

Inverters:

VICTRON 24 volt, 1300 watts, plus VELEMAN pure sine wave 500 watts

Battery charger:

PROMATIC 30 amps, fully automatic for up to 3 battery banks.

Batteries:

  • 24 volts x 110 amp-hour starting batteries
  • 24 volts a 225 amp-hour service batteries, new 2005.

Electricity:

AC 220 volts and 115 volts; DC 24 volts and 12 volts ( via VICTRON ORION 24 to 12 volts/20 amps DC transformer )

220 volts:

By shore power, generator or inverter.

Tanks:

  • Drinking water 1200 litres
  • Diesel 2 x 400 litres
  • Red diesel for heating boiler and generator 1200 litres

Water-pump:

24 volts with accumulator tank

Central heating:

LAMBORGHINI pressure jet boiler installed new in 2004 with radiators throughout the boat; wood burning stove with back boiler in the saloon and also connected to the heating circuit.

Insulation:

Very good insulation in fibre glass wool.

Hot water:

150 litres calorifier tank heated by the engine or 220 volts

Propane gas:

2 bottles in a locker on the fore-deck

Cabins:

  • Large forward master cabin with 2m x 1.80m bed, many cupboards
  • Second cabin currently used as an office with 2 desks and shelving – can easily be converted with either a double or 2 single berths..

Corridor:

From saloon forward to bedrooms and bathroom, with many cupboards below the side decks.

Bathroom:

Spacious bathroom with shower, washbasin, toilet and washing machine. Separate toilet with washbasin, off the entrance lobby.

Saloon:

Large airy saloon with opening windows, parquet floor, dining table, L-shaped sofa, cupboards and shelving, wood stove.

Kitchen:

Open plan kitchen with work surfaces, double stainless steel sink, new gas cooker with safety thermocouples installed 2005, 2 new fridges with freezer compartments installed 2007 and working on gas, 220 volts, or 12 volts. Shelves and cupboards.

Wheelhouse:

Large teak folding wheelhouse with seating and storage lockers, traditional steering wheel, instrument and electricity panels. Stairs down to entrance lobby and toilet compartment.

Engine room:

Below wheelhouse with engine, generator, battery banks, hot water tank.

Bow:

Fore deck with anchor winch and dinghy or motor scooter crane.

Sundeck:

Large sundeck on the superstructure with parasols, deck furniture, and gas barbecue.
